Here is a pic of our greeter-'Totoro'. I'm convinced he'd give American children nightmares and I still haven't figured out his charm for the Japanese kids. Nonetheless, he is the pride and joy of Ghibli Studio.

"Rusty and Rachel" consist of a guy from Tennessee and a girl from Indiana who met at college and got hitched. We are now living in an 'ultra modern' cinder block paradise in East Memphis. Rusty reads books with big words most of the day. Rachel (a.k.a. 'money bags') brings home the $ and makes plans for our early retirement after which we'll spend our days living on an island in Southeast Asia drinking cold tropical beverages. Yeah, its Ghibli Studios. Its a really good day trip from Mito, which is the city we live in. Its to a lot of really interesting things to watch if you're into anime. Ghibli definitely has the high end of anime. There are several rooms with stills from the movies, original sketches, actual artifacts they got ideas for the movie from, etc. Yeah, I've seen almost all the Ghibli movies-although I haven't seen Howl's Moving Castle yet b/c its only in Japanese here and I don't have anywhere near the language skills to see it and understand- but I think my favorite two so far are Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away.
